Ep. 25: How to Feel Better

Alrighty, here we go. Let's practice some mind management. I'm going to give you the steps to do that.

#1: Our first step is ALWAYS to stick with what we know.

These are the facts:

- There is no longer a Federal Constitutional right to abortion. That's a fact. - States now determine abortion laws. - 13 states already have laws that either make abortion illegal, or trigger laws that now can come into effect in 30 days. - 4 states already have a ban on abortion after 6 weeks gestation. - 5 other states have old laws that can now be resurrected. - 26 states are "expected" to ban, including my state of Florida. - Currently, women can cross state lines to get an abortion.

Those are the facts.

#2: What are MY (your) thoughts about this?

Once you have the facts, there is literally NO reason to watch the news or to google about this topic. Unless you like to carry the thoughts of others, and diminish your own inner viewpoint. So, #2 is to listen to yourself. Write it down or record yourself in a video and re-watch it with a pen and paper. KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.

#3 Feel all of your feelings.

Don't push off your feelings with food or alcohol or screaming at others. This may take a while to process all of them, depending on their intensity.

#4 Now, decide if this is what you want to think.

It's either a yes, or no.

How do you show up in the world? How do you want to show up? How do you treat yourself or others?

OK, that's it. I'm not going to tell you how I feel. I'm not going to tell you how you SHOULD feel.
